It’s official: Big Walk arrives on August 4, 2026. House House and publisher Panic confirmed the date alongside a new release-date trailer, ending the wait that began with the game’s reveal at The Game Awards in December 2023.
Where you can play
Big Walk launches simultaneously on:
- Steam (Windows and Mac)
- PlayStation 5
- Nintendo Switch 2
All three platforms support full crossplay, so friends can play together regardless of which system they own.
What to expect at launch
The game ships as a complete, story-driven co-op adventure for 2 to 12 players, built around its signature proximity voice chat. There’s a clear beginning, middle and end, and the world remains open afterward as a relaxed hangout space.

The road here
Originally targeting an earlier window, Big Walk was given more time and expanded to consoles along the way. The extra development has gone toward polishing the world inspired by Australia’s Wilsons Promontory National Park and refining the communication systems at the heart of the experience.
